The work package covers resources to contribute, upon request by the EACI, to common dissemination activities and a final evaluation with the aim to increase synergies between projects supported by the eco-innovation initiative and to increase their visibility.
In addition to the activities requested by the EACI, the project partners will use this work package in order to commercialize the eco-innovative product. First of all, Rodenburg will present Solanyl C through a number of channels:
It will be in constant contact with its distributors. By communicating the progress of the commercialization and the quantities of raw materials that will be purchased by Rodenburg in the near future, the bargaining position of Rodenburg will improve. As a consequence, Rodenburg will be able to lower the price of its product and increase its competitiveness.
For discussions with third parties, dissemination materials such as brochures and flyers will be printed. To this end a subcontract with a professional publisher has been foreseen.
In order to reach as many new potential clients as possible, Rodenburg will present its new product and services at a number of international events. Events visited by Rodenburg shall include inter alia:
Secondly, Taghleef will present its findings in a number of ways:
General public: In order to communicate the project findings to the general public, promotional materials (inter alia brochures) will be printed. To this end, promotional materials will be designed and printed by a professional publisher.
Existing clients: The added experience that follows from this project will be used in communication with clients.
Attraction of new clients: In order to convince new commercial partners of Taghleef’s outstanding technical expertise, Taghleef is planning on organizing an interactive webinar, in which detailed technical information can be presented. Moreover, Taghleef will present the technologies made possible by this project at a range of professional conferences and trade fairs. At these events, Taghleef will address potential new utilizers of Solanyl packaging, that require Taghleef’s expertise in the field of extrusion and stretching. Given the food safe qualities of Solanyl, Taghleef’s focus will lie on food packaging companies (e.g. bakeries, ice-cream producers, confection producers) but it will also address the packaging industry at large.
These events cover the larger share of the European packaging industry. Events visited by Taghleef shall include:
Finally, Mars – being the applicator in this project – will disseminate the project in the form of its new packaging.
The steps taken for marketing of this solution shall include:
- The performance of a market research for the determination of the target market.
- The definition of the target brand(s) which are to be packaged in Solanyl.
- The drawing-up of a marketing strategy for the target market and consumer group.
- The publication of commercials in key magazines, indicating that the key product is packaged in 2nd generation bio-plastics.
