WP1

The organizational structure of work package 1 is set up as follows:

Project coordinator

Project coordinator and main contact point for the EACI will be Dennis van Eeten of Mars. He will be assisted by Mars’ finance and administration departments. His main tasks include:

• Coordinating the activities of the three participants
• Chairing of project meetings
• Reviewing project progress according to time schedule
• Overseeing the reporting process

Management Team

The project management team consists of the project leader from each of the three participating organisations: Dennis van Eeten of Mars, Jeroen van Soest of Rodenburg and Paolo Serafin of Taghleef.

Tasks:

1. Project coordination: monitoring and steering of project implementation, formulating responsibilities and developing effective flows of communication, coordination of work.
2. Review of project progress: organisation of meetings to discuss project progress every 4 weeks; monthly review of project progress by telecommunications and videoconferencing.
3. Reporting to the European Commission: communicating with and reporting project progress, technical and financial results to the EC according to specified guidelines.
4. Financial management: set up financial reports to EC, assembling the overall project report; management upfront payments and end payments.
5. Monitoring and measuring performance indicators at the end of the project as well as 2 years after the project’s execution: monitor and measure the parameters that were laid down in Part C of the application (Annex II of the Grant Agreement).
